I had understood the feminine = submissive stereotype but it hadn't crossed my mind that they could actually believe feminine = stupid. Now I understand the logic to that madness.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a female wanting to play the macho and to have a submissive partner in order to compensate for having the "wrong genitals". As long as it doesn't involve abusing those who want something else, why not? It doesn't have to be based on homophobia and it doesn't amount to misogyny.
But this feminine = submissive = stupid mentality isn't healthy. It's not really misogyny either because it targets submissive men as well. It's simply confused.

I'm a bit suprised to hear that such thinking is relatively common in Russia. I guess I'm naive but I grew up with the idea that Russia had educated women as well as badass women like fighter aces and whatnot when Israel didn't even exist. Maybe that's a case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" taken too far.
