I have recently stopped purchasing video games, and not because of the price, or the games themselves. If I want to play three different games, it is very possible I will require 3 different DRM programs on my system, some of them which require a constant internet connection. These DRMs are a royal pain, slow down my system, and I can not keep track of all the usernames, passwords, or all the other spam associated with it.

Enter The Witcher and the Witcher 2. They get it. Great games at fair prices, and with no hassle of DRM. Thank you! Admittedly, when I purchased my games, I did not register them, as I did not know what to expect. Now I realize I should have registered sooner. Free DLCs, free updates, easy to download patches, and a great supporting community. But wait, there is more...

This 2014 DRM Free sale is AMAZING. And what a great thing for gamers. All the classics, with some recent titles without the DRM hassle. I am so impressed with GOG, that I even purchased titles I may never play; but, I purchased them anyway, just to support the company.

And then......in appreciation to what GOG has done to games, and to the Witcher series, I did something I have never done before. I pre-ordered a game. I usually never do that, as I like to wait to see how the general community perceives the game, and to ensure it has little to no bugs; however, this time, to show my appreciation for DRM free games, this amazing sale, I ordered the game to show my appreciation for what they have done for us.

THANK YOU GOG! Please keep this going!!!!
Welcome to GOG :-)

If you're into DRM free gaming, I'm amazed you only just found your way here a few months ago.

Edit: Also, the community here is the best it has ever been my distinct pleasure to be a part of.

Welcome SpringPower! Well said, GOG is great. I hope you enjoy this great community as well.
Welcome to GOG! And I agree. You come for something simple, and then whoops, 100 games in your library. :) I came for Lords of the Realm after I heard about a company making old games work like new. I didn't even know much about DRM. But then I was AMAZED at what DRM-freeness can do. Sooooo nice.

Yay GOG!

Yay GOG!
Same here! I registered my Witcher games, and then over the past few weeks, including the DRM sale, I now have more than 30 titles!
Now closing in on 35 titles. This site is going to melt my wallet. :)
Welcome, but I have to say if they're slowing down your system. You might want to get a better one! :P

That's what everyone says, they just forget to mention that melting by a thousand of DRM-free cheap burns feel so good !

Edit : and freebies won't melt your wallet as they are very cool ;D

That's it right there, those are the reasons why we love this place. Say bye bye to your wallet though... ;)
Welcome! Despite this site being a DRM-Free altar and think-tank, many people here are steamers. But yeah, you are correct, no one in their right state of mind, should make such compromises as to endure spam and scam (in disguise), digital or not, in order to play a game. Have fun!
Welcome to the GOG forums, SpringPower!
It's good to see a new member with your positive attitude! I hope your stay will be long and always pleasant! :)

By the way... you really need to fear for your wallet. When I joined, I though I would buy a game or two every now and then. Man, I was so wrong! Abandon all hope, ye who enter here! XD
