I have recently stopped purchasing video games, and not because of the price, or the games themselves. If I want to play three different games, it is very possible I will require 3 different DRM programs on my system, some of them which require a constant internet connection. These DRMs are a royal pain, slow down my system, and I can not keep track of all the usernames, passwords, or all the other spam associated with it.
Enter The Witcher and the Witcher 2. They get it. Great games at fair prices, and with no hassle of DRM. Thank you! Admittedly, when I purchased my games, I did not register them, as I did not know what to expect. Now I realize I should have registered sooner. Free DLCs, free updates, easy to download patches, and a great supporting community. But wait, there is more...
This 2014 DRM Free sale is AMAZING. And what a great thing for gamers. All the classics, with some recent titles without the DRM hassle. I am so impressed with GOG, that I even purchased titles I may never play; but, I purchased them anyway, just to support the company.
And then......in appreciation to what GOG has done to games, and to the Witcher series, I did something I have never done before. I pre-ordered a game. I usually never do that, as I like to wait to see how the general community perceives the game, and to ensure it has little to no bugs; however, this time, to show my appreciation for DRM free games, this amazing sale, I ordered the game to show my appreciation for what they have done for us.
THANK YOU GOG! Please keep this going!!!!
