Tesco's expanding it's used-games service...but it seems to be console games only.
"...likely to rub THQ up the wrong way as they're trying to kill pre-owned games..." lol
I might have to have a look around the local one tomorrow, to see what they're selling.

Oh great, our very own Gamestop. So let me guess: you sell your games to them for £2 then they resell it for £15?
Used game services sound good at the time, when you think "I'll never play that again". And they do save me some space. But the other day I wanted to replay "Impossible Creatures" so that I could try and create a hybrid elephant and snake (I have strange dreams). Then I realised I'd "given" it to gamestation for 20p. Just wanted rid of a load of space killers at the time.
Do people actually buy games from tesco?
The prices are usually higher than GAME ffs.

Their online store can be competitive. I recently bought Risen from there for about half the price I was seeing it for elsewhere, including Game.

Seriously? 20p?

Seriously - I had to clear space, had to move. Just gave all the stuff I didn't want to Gamestation - Got £3 for Assassins Creed (which was a good price given although it was almost new, it sucked). Then the stuff they didn't know they gave 20p a game. At the time I just wanted rid.
Worse than that... you can only spend the money from the games IN Tesco's.
Kinda "sell your old game, go buy some frui...high-fat snacks!"

Tesco in Poland is still 100 years behind Babylon [sorry, Tantrix[, i guess.
Seriously, used games in TESCO? Wow, some are lucky.. :)
A tesco just opened in my neighborhood in Tokyo - so i can now access custard creams, ginger nuts and decent breakfast cereal! Heaven! Won't hear a bad word said against them!

Where in Tokyo? I'll have to find them the next time I can get up there. In semi-related news, HMV closed their Shibuya branch yesterday. Hope that doesn't mean the rest will go anytime soon.

They seem to be popping up everywhere, but in obscure places.
There's a bigger (but not huge) Tesco Extra on the road between Shijuku and Shin Okubo.
There are lots of smaller convenience-store-size ones with red signs around now, seen two at various stops on the Seibu Shinjuku line. Try here: http://www.tesco-japan.com/eng/store/
(They're are still 95% japanese foods and brands, but they do have some import stuff. Mostly I use them as a source of pasta, biscuits and breakfast cereal. (and tea bags if you like that kind of thing).

soulgrindr: Snip

(Once again, the GOG forums have eaten my post. This is happening all too often)
Anyhow, thanks for the link.
OK, so my local Tesco's Metro doesn't do this...yet.
I didn't check the 3 Express' shops nearby, as they're even smaller, and unlikely to feature new games, let alone used.
