Anyone got the game and completed the 2nd season? Just curious what your outcome was and who you saved in the end.
This is a thread where users from SteamGifts were talking about that:
http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/j7Y3u/the-walking-dead-season-2-ending-spoilers-ahead
There are threads about this all over gaming forums, except this one lol. Would be nice to start a discussion here as well.
Just finished it.

I tried playing the good Clem throughout most of the game until different characters started to annoy the living crap out of me.

Basically: A bunch of people died when Carver invaded the lodge.

I wasn't able to convince Sarah to escape through the top window of the trailer.

Kenny went freaking crazy.

Bonnie and the black guy tried to leave with the Russian kid in the middle of the night - then the Russian shot me.

Ended up with Jane, Kenny and the Baby in the truck at the end.

Killed Kenny because he was crazy and unstable.

Went back to Howe's with Jane and the Baby, let the family in.

I found it strange that I never ran into the remaining members from 400 Days. And with the exception of Bonnie, the other two (stoner guy, and sisters) they had very little to do with the story.
I slapped Sarah thus saving her from the trailer attack. Only to have her die when the platform collapsed from the 2nd floor of the building near the museum. Convinced Jane to try save her but to no avail.

Bonnie and Mike left with Arvo that asshole who shot me.

Kenny and Jane conflict, I ended up not shooting Kenny and seeing Jane die. I've been siding with Kenny since the first season as Lee (he accompanied me to find Clementine) and now as Clementine, no regrets. I reminded Jane over and over not to do anything to enrage Kenny and she does it anyway, particularly stupid faking that the baby was dead just to prove her point that Kenny is far gone. I tried my best to stop the fight even coming in between them but still to no avail. Jane would've been a good sister figure to Clementine. Sorry Jane and thanks for all the survivor lessons but Kenny's been with us since season 1 and lost an eye for Clem.

Went to Wellington, tempted to just stay there and call it a day but I ended up going off with Kenny.
Love this series

this is how it went for me in my very first playthrough

I was sad Omid died and I tried to save Christa and every chance thereafter I tried mentioning her and looking for her. Grew attached to the new group especially the likes of Pete and Sarah but did not like Luke from the very start. Taled trash back at Rebecca every chance I got until she started treating Clem nicer and so did I. Chose to befriend Sarah and tried to save Pete at the river did everything I could for him to come see the cabin group one last time.....sadly it never happens. Saved Nick when it came down to it still liked him better than Luke. Saved Alvin at the lodge too.. Was all too happy to see Kenny back he's the best and sexiest :) ehehm.

Took a liking to Reggie big mistake he dies either way. Was upset that the 400 Days characters didn't play a bigger role than 2 line cameo characters but I warmed up to Jane and Mike come episode 4. Also trusted Bonnie and was as nice to her as possible same with Sarah. Watched Carver get his face beat in sad he went too soon I think. Freaked out when Carlos died I liked him at that point I made it my duty to protect Sarah. Chopped off Sarita's arm. Started growing attached to Rebecca. Was sympathetic every chance I got with Kenny and I saved Sarah at the trailer park. Was very upset that she gets eaten by walkers no matter what you do or what happens.

Gave medicine back to Arvo and then got attacked by him and his crew anyways showed no remorse for him from then onward I did not care about the fact that his sister died. Jane is the one who threatened him I gave his meds back and how he repays me is holding up the group members he never met and an 11 year old girl + baby. Nope no remorse at all. Warmed up very slightly to Luke at the campfire.....he dies the next day didn't feel much but sucks I guess. Bonnie got all on my case for covering him instead of stupidly trying to reach for him on literal thin ice like she did not my fault. Liked every moment of what Kenny gave Arvo it was great. Mike is a very confused person why give the Russian kid a gun and try to steal supplies. I would have preferred Mike to die in the shootout at the start of the episode. Him , Bonnie and Arvo took off after I got shot.

Saw Lee knew it was a dream but cherished the moment. Woke up to Kenny and Jane at each other's throats sided with Kenny. Once we all got to the rest area I knew something was up with what Jane did. I don't blame Kenny for going off sure it may not be his kid but he was a dad and i'm sure ANY parent would react the same way. Jane was provoking him just to get a "little sister" and it felt very weird even if I like her character. Let Kenny kill Jane knew the baby would still be alive. We walked to Wellington where I hoped to find Christa and sadly she was not there. When it came down to it I stayed because I knew that is what Kenny wanted and it was the safest bet for an 11 year old + baby in the middle of winter. Kenny could circle the place and possibly get let in someday too who knows very touching ending.

I liked Season 1 a lot but Season 2 overall I felt was better except maybe the endings. Lee's death is tough to beat but the fact that the Jane endings exist ehhh I don't know they feel off and filled with uncertainty it was clear Kenny's ending had the most effort put into them.

fsuking arvo

i should have shot that fool when i first saw him.

i let him keep his sfuff and spoke out for him on all occasions. i saved his life when his sister turned. kept him from getting beaten to death and the fsuker still shot me.

hopefully in the 800 days season 2 dlc pack i finally get to shoot arvo like he deserves. if not again in season 3.

saved sarah til she fell on the deck.

chopped off kenny's ladies arm in the walker herd.
does she turn and kill kenny if you let her be and remain infected?
or does she die in that spot no matter what?

killed the dog when it got impaled like vlad after attacking me for the food.
not out of spite.

i tried to save nick but ended up nearly getting hypothermia in the process. i got to see him underwater being dragged down by a walker.
the idiot only had a hurt leg. his arms and his machete were still functional. i should have seen him reach over his shoulder like he did 1000s of times and grab the machete and kill the walker and likely live as well.
instead he drifts downwards into death with his O-face on.

i backed jane and kenny up.

kenny the cyclops ignores me when i tell him to focus on the road. instead he wants to 'talk at' the person sitting next to him with his good eye away from the peripheral vision of the road.

i 100% listen to jane when she says not to get involved as she instigates a fight that never needed to occur, and could have ended with 1 sentence from her at any point. i dont get involved when she gets a beat down, treacherously tries to use a knife in a fist fight, nor do i get involved when she dies by her own knife after instigating a false fight.
i was waiting for someone to get impaled on the spike they were rolling around with, just like the dog, but nothing happened.
a sigh of relief i didnt get involved after the oddness of the scenario played out and the baby was fine all along. had i backed jane im sure shed be wearing a jigsaw mask in season 3 hovering over me after a dream sequence saying "do you want to play a little game??"
already saw her shoot some guy in the bollocks, its not that far a jump.

got to the town with kenny and the baby.
kenny begs and succeeds in getting clem and the baby admitted into the town, even though its beyond max capacity.
but after carvertown, i decline being left there. and leave the town with 2 bags.
i needs some recon into any building/community i might join. otherwise im just going to be breaking out a.s.a.p.

of course the bags from that town are all the same and that fsuker arvo could have shed some light on the town.

maybe i should have stayed in that town. they did turn arvo away.
but i have a greater chance at retribution in the wild.

i need to go back to where the mom turns and the baby is crying.
i need to see if i can kill arvo at that point instead of the walker. ^_^

---
loved the sequence when Lee was back for a bit.
one of the greatest characters in the walking dead of all media.

i played the game first and then watched the show, but Lee never showed up. :(

odds are near 0 but Lee isnt in the comics at any point???

^This. I refused to take his supplies when Jane wanted to. Sided with him whenever I could. Told Kenny to stop antagonising him and he still happily shoots a bullet into my shoulders.

If I see him in another season or so, I'm gonna kill him without remorse. Best if I could swap his position with Sarah. No one hurts Clementine on my watch.

Sarita gets swarmed by zombies regardless, that's just Telltale's illusion of C&C. Not chopping off her hand will probably be a better choice, spare her the additional pain.

I covered Luke by shooting all the approaching zombies. Bonnie went nuts and tried to save him, the ice collapsed. Tried to save Luke, I went down with the ice, Jane pulls me out. Bonnie survives and holds a grudge with me ever since.

I have the same outcome with Kenny like you did, I went with him back into the wild. Maybe Wellington will have space for both of us in the coming days.

I watched the show first then played the game series. Lee isn't in the show. It's entirely different cast and characters. Most popular character in the show would probably be Daryl.

It took me a while to get a grasp of Clem's personality but it felt natural to play her as someone who tries to be a peacemaker but doesn't push it when silence seems like a valid option, ie. when a group isn't in the middle of deciding how to abandon/kill/bullied someone, and is hardened by zombocalypse's survival lessons in practice.
Pragmatic. She is constantly balancing between being a giver as Lee and keeping to herself, doing her thing.

I have to say I like how dynamics changed with different protagonist however she "plays" (in the terms of having control over the situation) pretty much same as Lee because everyone is waiting for her decision despite being circa 12yo and she doesn't really have any troubles killing much higher zombies.

My decisions/outcomes:
- Christa - Hoped to find her; responses were in that manner if it was brought up; I didn't give a bottle to the jerk who went after us
- Arvo - Clem gave him medicine and benefit of doubt and argued with Kenny till the end - Whole story with him felt not very well thought out and just written on the assumption you don't understand what he is talking about most of the time. There is no reason for him to stash medicine hours away from house unless he was intentionally testing waters with it to let his group know how many people they are dealing with... which is rather extreme, very unlikely scenario. I can understand he shot Clem because he was stressed or just angry because his constant abuser Kenny acted most kindly towards her but, well, I think Telltale didn't know what to do with him.
- Shot Arvo's sister - pragmatism
- Sarah - Clem tried to support her as much as she could (not saying what they did, helping in the greenhouse, convincing her to get out of van). She died at that baby-birth cottage because she was more far again than the guy and didn't tried to reach out or anything.
- Luke - Saved at the babyborn cottage; later drowned in the river even if Clem tried to save him.
- Bonnie - Convinced to help us and come with us; later she suddenly revealed she has feeling for Luke; become angry with Clem for letting Luke die and tried to run away with Arvo - Ugh, how convenient to have serious feels for someone she knew days to the point to create another drama. Just after "being nice". This is a curse of Telltale and they should do something about it.
- Nick - Saved and let Pete die (he was biten). Walter let him be after discovering he killed his life-partner.
- Carver - Not participated in Kenny's slaughter-oh-fun but told Kenny during eyepatch exchange I am glad he is dead.
- Bonnie - Convinced to help us, then she, oh what a surprise, started having serious crush on Luke after a couple of days. She got angry at Clem for not jumping on the thin ice to save Luke.
- Kenny - Killed Kenny and showed compassion at the first breath - The second part was a close call, if I wouldn't roleplay a character affected at least to some degree by Lee's example, he would have had a hatchet in the face in no time. He has had anger issues since S1 and seeing him laughing at the beginning of S2 just triggered my red flag. He was a sociopath who has it coming long time.
- Jane - Only sane person in the group. This relationship was based on mutual understanding. Naturally, Clem chose Jane's side and went with her to Howe's.
- Finale's family - Invited. I didn't want to because I just popped out of another group however they will be present in S3 100% and not inviting them will cause more unpleasant conversations. That's Telltale's TWD writing works.

Frankly, I think the baby would die long time ago. Mother couldn't possibly produce enough milk in such conditions, I doubt they found a box of babyfood on the way and baby doesn't last that long after being born unfed.

S2 made it apparent Telltale is at least unwilling to work on its shortcomings and keep running scenario patterns alive and unchallenged:
1/ Protagonist is a killing machine that is always a decision maker for some group.
2/ If a NPC doesn't create conflicts, s/he is either killed or becomes unstable after some event and thus creates a conflict.
3/ If a NPC does create constant conflicts, s/he is going to stay around for some time.
4/ If a NPC has become a subject of "Decide to (indirectly) kill A or B" moments, s/he is going to die, soon.
5/ If nothing happens, a horde of zombies suddenly appears.
6/ If a group gets thinner, a new set of characters appears.

Playing as Clementine was interesting because her kind of default cold interaction with others changed a way I thought about some decisions. On the other hand, The Wolf Among Us was more entertaining experience because there simply weren't same plot patterns as in TWD.

That was ridiculous, I was hoping to see her fate after that bullshit.

Weird, I had no idea Walter was gay and that Matthew was his life partner. I must be out of it, or I just missed some dialog choices.

Good to hear, I'llbe playing through that one next. I'll be honest, The Walking Dead game and TV series is growing very tired for me...

I'm wondering a few things:

Does the baby always survive?

Did anyone see Russell or Vince in their playthough?

When he spends time with Clem walking around, I think he explicitly referred to his partner as "he" or it was at least heavily hinted. The moment he said he was waiting for his return from his recent hunt trip to wildness, It just confirmed the suspicion what person they were talking about.
I am not sure how the fact played out during the conflict dialogue.

I disliked comics quite a lot, so I consider it to be Telltale's success their reviews managed to convince me to try the game and the experience was good. :) I never watched the TV series.

I am sure I will play S3 eventually however it is quite predictable at this point and I would really welcome improvements, otherwise I might end up at the same point as with Assassin's Creed which has been so consistently uniform, there is no incentive.
Non-GTAesque black man and a teenage girl (also happened to be PoC) as protagonists are pretty cool but that aspect can't save the day all the time.

TWAU could be really good - if the sequel won't suffer from same thing as TWD. It is more mature in the way and the take on fairry tales I know from childhood is interesting too.

Yes, the baby always survive.

Vince and Russel are supposed to appear in Howe's during episode In Harm's Way, Wiki's description:
Vince appears in this episode only if he accepted Tavia's offer. He is seen talking with Tavia about smoking. He then walks off and tells her that he is going to tell Carver. After the herd of walkers attacked Howe's Hardware, Vince's status is unknown.

Russell appears in this episode only if he decided to join Tavia's community. He appears guarding the area as Clementine is running off and he tells her she should get on with what she has to. It is unknown what happens to him after the walker herd attacks Howe's Hardware.

I played 400 days and I think a majority decided to join Tavia but I don't recall seeing them in S2. I didn't pay particular attention to non-important characters, though.

Great game, very emotionally driven.

Episode 1: I hated to see Omid die. I tried to save Christa by distracting the looters so she could run away, no telling what happened to her. Once I was on my own and found the dog, I thought "That's cool, a dog will be a good companion for Clem". Played with the dog and then it went to hell. Tried to be nice and feed the dog and it went crazy and attacked Clem. I killed the dog when it was stuck on the tent spikes, and if I had the option would have cooked and eaten the damn thing for chewing on my arm. When Clem meets the new group I am not overly impressed. I wish she had been found by a better group. Only one I really like was Pete, the rest were iffy. At the end of the episode I chose to save Pete instead of Nick.

Episode 2: Tried to convince Pete to come back with me to say goodbye to everyone, and he was going with me until the zombies came and he saved me instead. Once Clem got back and was left with Sarah (OMG she is annoying) I let Carver in and was not overly nice to him. I did take the blame for the photo trying to be nice to Sarah. Once the group got to the bridge Luke seemed to be an ok guy at this time. When Nick killed Matthew I wanted to push him off the bridge or shoot him myself, but that was not an option unfortunately. Was surprised as hell to see Kenny. Really liked Walter character. Told him the truth about Matthew and let him kill Nick (Nick was an ass). At the end of the episode went with Kenny outside and watched Alvin get shot and carlos beat up before Clem gets caught.

Episode 3: At the compound no overly tough decisions I thought. I did do Sarah's work for her on the plants. I cut off Sarita's arm when she was bitten during the escape. I also watched Carver get his face bashed in.

Episode 4: After we got to the meeting place I went with Jane to look for Luke and Sarah. Once Jane tells me how she left her sister to die, it was over for me liking her. I continued to be nice to her, but in reality I wanted to be an ass to her. I convinced Sarah to come with us out of the trailer. Once we got back to the meeting place again I went with Jane and found the gift shop. I chose to give Arvo the medicine back (would keep it if played again!). Once everyone gets to the gift shop and find Luke and Jane dressing themselves my opinion of them goes even lower. Was unable to save Sarah, not sure she could be saved anyway. I side with Kenny about Jane leaving. When the ambush happens I have Clem shoot Rebecca when she turns.

Episode 5: I convince Jane and Kenny both to come back to the fire. I choose to cover Luke when he falls in the ice. I break the ice trying to save him, but Luke dies and Bonnie lives. At the house I want to shoot Bonnie, Mike, and Arvo but again don't get the option. The leave (Good riddance). After the crash, and finding Clem at the rest stop, Jane comes in whispering about how we will see Kenny's true side. Knew something was up so when they fight was coming to an end I let Kenny kill Jane. Knew it was the right decision when we found the baby in the truck. If someone would abandon their sister to die and then leave a crying baby in the backseat of a car with walkers around, pretty sure I wouldn't want her to have my back. When Clem and Kenny get to Wellington I choose to stay with Kenny. Figure they can let us all in later, but would stick it out with Kenny (even if he is off center himself)
