I tried to follow that link but I get a malware warning and a PoS wanting to scan, and probably install malware on my system.

Not just one Zima, they wanted a whole pack! (They came in 4 packs if I remember correctly) I think that qualifies as suicide not murder. :D Unless they were planning on using the Zima to kill the person and just wanted to do it for fun but not pay for the murder weapon?!?!? OMFG I think we figured it out!

URLVoid says the website is clean, so the problem might be a local one. Run a virus and malware scan on your system just to be sure.

Already on it, Norton found a few cookies (not edible :-< ) and AVG is still at it.

Depends, do you want it done, or do you want it done right? The reason why you pay more than $500 to whatever drug addict that will agree to do it is because you don't want to go to prison on conspiracy charges. A true artisan can make it so that nobody ever suspects that it was anything other than an accident.

Conspiring to do something like that takes a lot more than $500 even at minimum wage. Which in a case like this where there's a known and specific link back the guy ordering the hit, is an absolute must. The charges he's now going to be facing are a lot stiffer than just whatever rape charge he'd probably be pleading down to.

But then again, I've never needed to hire a hitman, so I'm just speculating.

Might have been due to a third-party ad served up through the site. The major ad networks are one of the largest sources of malware infections, due to malware authors being able to slip various bits of attack code into flash ads which mange to hit numerous people before anyone at the ad networks catches on. Just another reason to use NoScript and block ads.

I haven't seen an ad in over a year. It's odd, too, I only stumble across trailer gems like Cowboys vs. Aliens by accident on IMDB. Probably the only thing I miss.

There are 6 billion plus people on earth and most of them just want to raise a family and grow old... stories like these are only told because they are aberrations. If anything, stories like this should give you comfort.
