I imported PT Boats Knights of the Sea for my dad's Xmas (came from aus) it arrived today but he cannot run it he gets an error: Initialization Error: PhysX (ver 2.8.1) initialisation failed (err=1)! Please install latest Ageia PhysX drivers.

Well thats been done and the drivers are fully up to date for the GPU and the error is still appearing, Also I cant seem to find an active forum for this game, even the official one I found doesnt seem to be active.

OS: Vista 32
Ram: 4gb
GPU: HD 2900XT

Im in the process of reinstalling all the upades from version 8.10, (seems to be as far back as AMD support has kept) when I read your post I had a though and tried attacking it at the throat and installing the 2.8.1 directly but that had no effect. Im up to version 9.4 but no luck as yet

GameRager: Sometimes some games need older driver versions to run. Install the oldest ones you can find first.....like 7 or 8.something.....then install all verions up to the latest one.

Directx and some games do this too, where they won't run without older 9.0 directx drivers files mixed in with the newest versions. Don't worry though as any game that needs them will use the newer drivers in both cases.....if they need an older dll or driver they will use it and no colficts will happen.
The 10.5 drivers seemed to do it, updating back to 10.12 now and we'll see if it still works.
