It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I really don't know where to post this so I apologize if this isn't the right place but
https://gog.com redirects me to http://www.gog.com (apparently gog doesn't have https), but when going to https://www.gog.com I get page not found.

Just letting it out there, you should probably redirect that page as well, it can be quite frustrating.

Sorry if this isn't the right place.
GOG does have https, but you need to go to https://secure.gog.com. Links are likely to point you back to http://www.gog.com though.

If you're using Firefox or Chrome (or a close enough derivative), install HTTPS Everywhere and my ruleset for said extension to stay in HTTPS-land during your GOG visits regardless of which protocol those pesky links wants to fool you into using.

That's not the problem, the problem is that if I go to https://www.gog.com it tells me the page doesn't exist but https://gog.com does exist. The www part is what breaks it and it's easily fixable on pretty much any web host/dns system. My guess it's just a simple bug/issue they forgot to add. It just bothers me a bit because on my firefox I just type "gog.com" and it automatically adds the https:// and the www part so I always get a 404 and then I have to manually edit the url end either remove the 's' from https (because http://www.gog.com works) or the www

Ah, yes. www had https enebled earlier (I don't know why they removed it, and yes, I think it was quite stupid), and Firefox automatically chooses https if you have that in your history.

Remove all https://www.gog.com and https://gog.com from your history and Firefox should send you to http://gog.com (or http://www.gog.com) when you just type gog.com.

If the intention was to let a different machine handle https requests, I'm quite sure there are solutions to do a redirect or reverse proxy based on protocol, rather than requiring a different domain name.

You don't get it... it's not *my* problem, I don't mind typing the correct url in the bar, it's not a big deal. I'm just pointing out that the guys at GOG should probably fix the issue though since it's obviously an issue on their counterpart. That's it, really.

Right, I misundestood, sorry about that. Informing GOG about the issue (rather than starting a discussion among - or asking for help from - forum members) is probably better handled through the support pages though.
I still have this annoying https redirect - I hope they fix it soon.
I had that problem too, I deleted my bookmark of the https link and replaces with just the www.gog.com, now it stopped trying to redirect me :)
