Hello fellow GOG'ers,

How are you today? I'm doing alright, thanks. I decided I'm going to be taking a break from recording music for the foreseeable future. Between lack of interest in funding drives for charities, lack of exposure from giveaways, and a general lack of interest in my style of music I do not feel I have anything to offer the music loving community at this point in time.

My full length album and the 2 ep's will still be up for sale, but I'm hanging my hat up for now. It was a good 6 months, and I generated 21 sales during that timeframe, but I realize when I'm playing a dead deuce and my opponent has a royal flush.

Thanks for being so supportive of my giveaways and tolerant of my self promotion. I've tried not to be too blatant about it or too in your face, hopefully I haven't pissed off very many people.

It was a good run while it lasted. You will probably see less giveaways from me going forward, and no advertising, as well.

Thanks again GOG Community.
~Cym
I hear ya, it can be tough to break out in the music landscape. Even someone like Ronald Jenkees (who is extremely good but, IMO, probably not any better than most other talented bedroom artists) only gets to moving units once the guy from ESPN advertises his stuff. I hope you are able to still put bread on the table, and I hope the business hasn't soured your love of something that is obviously an important part of you.
Well it was a side hobby for me to test the waters a bit. I have a 9 to 5 to put bread on the table ;)

I'm not too bitter, but I realize now that most people don't care how deep the lyrics are as long as there's a funky bass beat or an easy to remember chorus.

Cym, this city is full of bars with live music and garage bands. Why not just try that out in the meantime?

Don't forget I live on the WA side of the river, and getting into Portland can be a challenge for me. I'll look into it, but on this side there's very few live venues in the nearby vicinity.

Yeah if you're limited to that side of the river you have a lot less choice. Still, I bet there's a bunch of garage bands over there, they probably just have to come downtown for gigs.
