When I start up the game the menu freezes, I can still click things but the image is frozen, so every time i have to click on something like start game I have to pres the windows key so it get's to the new image. I have tried running in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3, and I also applied SStool 2.7 to the game also. Please can you guys help me out?

2.7? The one I have saved is 3.5. Are you sure you have the most up to date one?

Yup. 3.5. I would also recommend using the modmanager, as it can fix other issues which might crop up.

edit: hey, also, don't use compatibility modes if you're using sstool.

Why, does SSTool make it compatible with Windows 7?

I thought I saw a post over at the website that with sstool and the most recent ddfix it should work fine on Win7. Certainly works like a champ on mine, though this doesn't help you.

Use the most recent SSTool, I would recommend modmanager, and start the game through modmanager.

If you don't want to use modmanager, I would give win7 mode a chance after application of most recent sstool.

I have it installed and running ok on Win7 64 with SS2Tool (3.5) and SHTUP (i think it's the Beta 6) and XP SP3 compat. + 'Run as Admin' applied to the shortcut.

Adding on to what's been said (+admin priveleges) make sure you're running the game outside of your 'program files' directory.
