The whole "system shock 2" thing has become somewhat of a huge inside joke itself here on the forums

I think it's gotten to the point where GOG has gotten the rights to sell the game a long time ago but isn't releasing it just to toy with us

SS2 IS a bit of a joke at times, like when you realize that the assault rifle uses the cheapest ammo, kills everything in about 4 shots and holds a clip of 72 when upgraded. That's before you decide on the all-wrench run.

The game's weapon balancing (or rather complete lack thereof) is legendary. I once tried a build focusing on exotic weapons just for laughs, and they are unbelievably terrible.
