Pheace: I've got plenty of other stuff to play atm, and although I'm interested I'm just annoyed it took so long for them to put it on a sale like this even though it could've been far earlier. Knowing me I'll probably never play 1 after 2 as well so there won't be a point. I've got stuff to tide me over, so I have the luxury to say 'stuff it' to them xD
overread: It will drive you mad knowing - buuut - Sword of the Stars has been on deal a good few times before now ;) It's how I picked up the game ages ago on deal (I think it was one of the Steam daily deals during summer).
I picked up Sword of the Stars for the bargain price of €1.00 from Amazon as part of a 20-game bargain bin bundle. It was one of only five games that were halfway decent and was by far the standout title of the bunch.
Of course, I was missing the expansions and instead of paying through the nose for them, I just picked up the Complete Collection off Steam in the Summer Sale.
The moral of the story - don't neglect to check retail.
(Caveat to this story: My original copy of SOTT is in German).
