Hello, I just wanted to know about any survival games (and please dont say minecraft)
I mean like games where you have to eat, sleep, and drink to survive I've heard Ultima Underworld is like that can anyone tell me what Ultima Underworld is like and/or tell me about some survival games please?
Check out Robinson's Requiem here on GOG. It's a survival game made for the most hardcore players.
Thanks for the help, looks like a great game. I dont want to look like too much of a jerk and just beg so i will trade you a steamgifts code (if you want one or dont have one) if not its alright.

Check out the STALKER games. Particularly Call of Pripyat. That's how FPS should be.
I've played Stalker SOC and I loved it but never COP

If you haven't played it and loved COP then it goes without saying it's highly recommended you change that. Larger areas, regular blowouts and generally a bit more realism* all add up to an experience that is much more like what you seem to be after.

*the fact that some people are bandits does not mean they'll attack you on sight, for instance. You can even do jobs for them.

A game called Project Zomboid.

I have not played it, but it looks very interesting. I heard about it in the Spring from a blog post by Tim on Ctrl+Alt+Del and he was quite positive about the game (http://www.cad-comic.com/cad/20110603/#n2179). It seems like it is a true survival game.

The Sims? ...

=P Okay, I'll go hide in a corner now.

Actually I'm pretty sure you have to eat & sleep in Realms of Arkania. Even have to dress your characters properly for the environment they're in from what I've heard. It's a party-based RPG though, so might not be exactly what you're looking for.

It's still in development. It is definitely a survival game, and you do craft like in minecraft, but that's about as far as the resemblence goes.

They've been beset by rather bad luck and have been soldiering on admirably. I mean who else would continue such an obviously jinxed project after somebody's car was bombed outside the studio?
New Vegas has eating, drinking and sleeping and an awesome storyline to boot.

Yeah their previous stream of bad luck deserves a place in a records book.I mean, really. It's so unbelievable that it might as well have come from a cartoon.

Unreal World: http://www.jmp.fi/~smaarane/urw.html

Really interesting game, played it quite a bit myself. Here's a write up I did about it on the wargamer forum as well: http://www.wargamer.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=335349&mpage=1&print=true
Or, if you are very courageous, you can play Oblivion with Real Hunger COBL, Real Thirst, Realistic Fatigue and Real Sleep Extended mods. ^_^
I know you said "no minecraft", but how about a Minecraft mod?

The Minecraft Survivalism Mod:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/349163-173ssp-survivalism-v145/

It's a mod that ups the ante for the survivalist aspects of Minecraft. It makes it so that the game now requires you to manage some of your daily life functions, such as eating, drinking, and resting. There are new meters added to the GUI for thirst, hunger, and fatigue. It also makes it so that if you run out of lives, you get locked out of your world. In the mod's hardcore mode you only get one life and then your world is deleted. To allow for the rationing of water and food, the mod also introduces some new items called the waterskin, which functions like a canteen, and the energy bar for powering through long journeys.
Gothic 1 and 2 (the others in the series aren't worth playing), the fallout series of course(new vegas is awesome but you really should play fallout 1 and 2 first)...I have yet to play fallout 3:goty so I can recommend that one for now. Fallout has everything in it(eat, sleep drink, have sex with hookers, get married, become a slaver or a bandit or a hero, nuke a town or save it and the only game I know of where you can be a prizefighter and a pornstar at the same time...lolz....and everything you do has consequences and changes the world around you so choose carefully)

I would also suggest that you check out mount and blade:warband but I am not sure if it's the kind of game your looking for but it makes for a very engaging gaming experience. You don't have to eat per se but your party does and you can rise up from a mere mercenary to a vassal and then even become king, you can even marry and politics plays an important part. Other than that you have to manage your fief, solve quests, stop enemy raids and lay siege to castles and lands that you wish to conquer, loot towns or travelers, engage in duels over women, bar brawls and. participate in tournaments that involve medieval jousting, sword fighting etc while holding feasts in your castle with roasted bacon and get better acquainted with the ladies...sounds pretty epic,no?)....I have spend like 40 hours on it and there is just so much more still that I have to do...It's always nice being called "my lord"...
