I purchased a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition about a week ago. I wrote support and requested a unique key as I had read of someone getting banned from servers for piracy after purchasing his copy here. Someone told him it's due to the generic key and to request a unique multiplayer key and he'd be good to go. Everywhere else says to request a CD key. I'm not sure if requesting a multiplayer key is the same as requesting a CD key but it's the only option it gives me.

I've checked my email (yes, spam folder, too) as well as my messages on here. I'm trying to be patient but I bought this game for the multiplayer and a full week seems like a bit of a wait for someone to copy & paste me a key or send me a few files, however it works, for a game I paid $10 for.

And one more question, unrelated to support -- being DRM free, is it safe for me to let my brother play it with me online using my laptop, or will this cause us some sort of trouble? Would GOG supply two different keys for two different computers in the same house or is it against their policies?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate your time. :D

Hey, just so you know, I had some woes trying to get a Far Cry Multiplayer Key when I first came to GOG.com, and it was a bit of a turn-off, so I (sorta) know how you feel. Unfortunately, Support can be tough to get through, and right now it is the weekend, but I'd send another email tomorrow, and if they don't get back to you then, harp on them until they do. ;-) Really, though, they should eventually...
I've had to deal with GOG support twice for gifting-related issues, and it takes them about 24-48 hours to reply, given the amount of support requests that they have to deal with. Also, yes, remember that right now it's the weekend, and on top of that, there is the time difference between North America and Poland.

So just sit tight; they will get back to you.
Well as far as support goes, give them 2 working days. If it takes longer than that, well this thread will help you out and you can also re-send a ticket. Just don't spam them as it just slows support down further.

I doubt they will give you a second key, you may have to purchase the game again for that. You can always try and wait out for a sale and gift it to your brother. But you can download the game on as many of your own computers as you like and even have more than one running at once with no problems.
Support often takes a few hours, or even a day, and I'm pretty sure they take weekends off (at least sometimes). They can also have a backlog due to national holidays that makes things take longer. They should get back to you eventually.

As for the second question, unless UT2004 has some sort of "spawn copy" like Starcraft does, you'll need to pay for a second copy of the game to get a second key. However, I don't think you can actually possess two keys on the same account, so your brother would need to get a GOG account too, though you could still pay for it.

Well you never know, if GOG doesn't pay anything for the keys (and I doubt they do,) they might just send him another key. I have asked for a second key for NWN by accident once, and they actually did send it to me.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help. :D It's nice to find forums where everyone's polite and helpful, usually when I post somewhere the first thing I get is a snarky mod. *COUGH*GAMESPOT*COUGH*

I guess I'll just wait until Tuesday and send another request, that will have given them over a week's worth of business days. Wish me luck and have a good day, guys.
Also keep in mind CD-Keys are (probably) lower priority.

I requested three keys and got them in a couple days though. You'll get 'em.
GOG is also working on an automated system, once that is in place we will also see ARMA II here.

I think one of guys mentioned that they already have one set up for HoMM5.

I'll go poke Support in a few moments. That said, we'll only issue you one key for multiplayer. We don't use DRM, but we're also only selling you a single copy of the game. We trust that you will not upload it to pirate websites or share it with a bajillion people, but part of that single copy of the game is that you only get one multiplayer ID.

Hm, Natalia sent you your key on the 18th, and I replied to your second ticket on Friday. I'll resend the e-mail with the key, let me know via PM if you don't get it within an hour or so.
