Twilight... really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Another vote for Dog Soldiers.
lol well I never said I endorsed it. ;)
How about I Was A Teenage Werewolf?
You could spend some time here
There was a werewolf TV show on US TV in the late 80's or early 90's that freaked me out as a kid. I remember walking home at night one time when I was like 10-12 and thinking for sure that a werewolf was stalking me.

Anyway... The Howling is the only werewolf movie I remember liking, and even that one probably sucks now.
Yea I remember watching that one as a kid in the 90's. It was friggin' awesome and was it the one where the dude has this blood star like symbol on his hand or something?

The Three Stooges Meet the Wolfman.

Hey, it's better than some suggestions here!

"Serious" answer: Bad Moon. It fits your two criteria well enough, though it's not really a "good" movie. I think effective Werewolf movies are even dicier to pull off than standard horror fare.

Not a werewolf movie, but in my opinion a great horror film: 30 Days of Night. Technically a "vampire" movie, however these vamps are feral, vicious hunters who are far closer to werewolves than a Stoker or Anne Rice influenced vampire. They will not be gazing into your eyes or speaking to you; they'll be attacking you on sight. It was nice to see vampires portrayed as loathsome monsters to be truly feared rather than foppish blood-swilling eurotrash to be eroticized. Plus, the pack is led by Danny Huston. Danny-fucking-Huston. Pure genius.
In addition to the suggestion, I have a question here since I just remember something.

There was this Werewolf movie (actually I am not sure whether it was a movie or a made-for-TV show, but it was not a series) where the protagonists were three people (at least if I remember correctly they were three), one of whom was a karateka (or a similar martial artist). They had to fight a werewolf. I probably watched it in the middle or late 1980s. Maybe early 1990s at most. I cannot remember the title. I do not even remember any other details. I think I did not even finish watching it. I wonder if anybody here knows what movie/television film it was?
