I haven't downloaded/pirated any movies so I don't know about subtitles, where to download them, what's the best format etc. I use VLC player for movie files.

I know english good enough to follow movies, but here in Finland we have subtitles on everything non-finnish, so I'm kind of used to it in such a way it's hard to watch anything without them. :P

So, would it be possible (and not illegal) to gather subtitles for the movies available at GOG.com?

Pidän suomea, mutta these are pieni productions, so I wouldn't expect Finnish subtitles. Did you mean fan translations?

Actually it would be cool if they got the "What's Up, Tiger Lily" treatment. :D

Basically any way that is legally okay, though it's probably more of a gray area copyright-wise.
