Can anyone reccomend a good strategy game from gog. It should be fun butn not too hard.
Total Annihilation is one of the best base building RTS games ever made. The promo on that one should have ended already. Yet it's still on discount so grab it while you can.
Warlords Battlecry 3 and Original War are two good rts games.

Haegemonia is a space empire game and rts.

Spellforce is okay and has lots of content.

Tropico and Evil Genius are two building games with a nice helping of strategy.

[edit] And check out Ghost Master and Freedom Force Vs The Third Reich.

I don't think that one quite fits the "not too hard" bit. As someone whose completed the Dungeon Keepers and a hell of a lot of other strategy games besides I should find that one easier than I do.

Yes, get TA, the mods will have you playing for the next year at least.
If you don't care about graphics and just want pure awesomeness out of the gameplay go with Lords of the Realm 2 or the Seven Kingdoms series.

LOTR2 is turn based (so you can go at your own pace) but mixes RTS during battles. Build a castle, Siege a Castle, Dominate the surrounding lands, get crowned King.

As for Seven Kingdoms, I could write a 10 page essay why this is the greatest RTS Strategy game of all time (This is not a biased opinion I've played every Strategy game out there and own and own at most all of them). Graphics lacking, but the gameplay has some serious depth to it that you won't find in any other strategy game and you can customize the difficulty just for you and increase it as you get better. All Trevor Chan games are worth playing. Bjorn Lynne Music is pretty sweet too and adds to the depth.

P.S. if you get the original 7K and find yourself looking at a 'green screen' close and reload the game till it goes away, annoying, but it always goes away eventually after a couple of reloads. I like playing on small and medium maps cause there are lots of islands you can build on and have seperate bases to train troops and build Seats of Power ect. Also I like 7K better than 7K2, but thats just my opinion.

Cavedog churned out an absolute ton of free DLC for that game in the days before most people could download it. In fact I think it was probably one of the first games I remember to have DLC.

Not that the standard content was somehow lacking, mind.

If World of Warcraft is a strategy game then Quake is a roleplaying game.

I don't know why I said WoW. It was a complete mental fart. I meant to say AoW. (Age of Wonders...one of the best TBS games EVAR!)

and its 2.99 right now

mission pack1 has some bugs

i think its enjoyable even with the easy AI
