I've only heard her name a couple of times, and this thread is actually the first time I've seen it in print. I'm just very far removed from her musical genre.

But in answer to your question, I thought the same thing immediately. She looks trans to me, but a quick Wikipedia check doesn't mention anything more than that she created some alter-egos as a child to as a means of coping with a harsh life.

And fwiw, in an effort not to be labeled a homophobe or anything like that, I am 100% cool with GLBT (or whatever order they go in) people. I've got friends and family members who fit into the category, and I love them neither more nor less for their sexual orientation. If I love them, its because they're good people...if I hate them, its because they're schmucks.

Glad you put the wink, or I might have thought you were serious (so hard to tell someone's intentions in writing, unless there's an emoticon involved). But anyway, I chose schmucks because it was more polite than saying assholes. That, and its just a funny sounding word.

Yes, she uses auto-tune, but look her up on youtube, they have her doing some stuff in her "real" voice, which isn't half bad. The bitch can actually rap.
