Hi everybody,
As title suggests my game hunting now took me into this category. I already played and loved Arcanum,Torchlight (if you will consider it as one of them), Final fantasy VI,Folklore,Bioshock series,Machinarium. I am looking for Action,RPG or strategy genre for PC. Thanks everybody who will help me.
Rise of legends. Campaign ain't that great even thou you'll probly enjoy the first pure-steampunk one, which makes the game worth the money by itself, but it's a fantastic game for MP and skirmishes too

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends is a good one if you're looking for strategy.

Thief II: The Metal Age is a "first person sneaker", set in a Medieval/Industrial hybridized world with many steampunk flourishes introduced by the emerging cult in the plotline. You should try that out. It's not availble on GOG (yet, I hope), but cheap copies can be had at amazon.

There is a flashgame called Dirk Valentine which is completely Steampunk. Platform game, though. But fun for 20 minutes - then you will have finished it.

Iron Grip: Warlord is decent and it's on sale. It's basically a FPS with tower defense elements.
Technically, Bioshock is biopunk. Same with Deus Ex. Despite them having steampunk and cyberpunk styling respectively.
I recall an old strategy game called Transartica, that should probably belong to this theme.

I'll have to second Rise of Legends. I'm playing through the third campaign right now, myself. Really innovative and creative RTS game (a rarity in the genre). I actually like the campaign, even the super cheesy cutscenes (its bad, but its good, y'know?).

I got bored on the Magic campaign (second one). I do like it, same folks that did AOE2 I believe (Ensemble Studios).

Big Huge Games actually. There is a link though, they did one of the expansion packs for AoE3 (which EVERYONE has now).
