orcishgamer: Well, if the 3 bucks makes a difference to you, then yeah, that's a hair cheaper. To me saving 3 bucks on a 25 dollar game isn't going to make me switch from buying from a store I do like to one I don't. Too bad the cheap keys ran out (was like 7 bucks earlier in the week).
Actually, it wasn't a 3-dollar difference but about a 9-dollar difference. The other place was selling the game for the full $30 whereas Steam, where I bought it, was selling it for $21. That's quite a large difference to me. I don't really care where a person gets their game from, I'm just mentioning it because Steam is the main digital distributor. I'm not a big proponent of Steam, there's a lot of things I don't like about them, the chief being that you can lose your entire library of games (which you don't have full ownership over) and the lesser being that the platform itself is a form of (limited) DRM. That said, they're the major digital distributor and there are positives to their service (e.g. achievements, ease of finding/joining multiplayer games, cloud service, and the winter/summer promotions).
Also, it seems that GamersGate noticed the Steam sale because they just lowered their price from $29.95 to $19.95.
