No, just thoughtless, shitty journalism. But that's Kotaku for you. But then I've needlessly repeated myself.

hahah
Even though the gameplay is what makes the game awesome, not the story, which they dumbed down a million times and made it all wow'y, I'd rather not spoil it. ^^

Well, all shiny and cute, and everyone is either a noble paragon of benevolence or a real evil bad guy. *Spoiler warning* The whole "the overmind is actually a cool dude, and he has the voice of a friendly old man" and "tassadar is actually alive, as a super cool spirit" making his sacrifice from the first game seem trivial. And Zeratul... he speaks like some fantasy wizard dude. The first game had a far more sci-fi and gritty feeling to it, while the sequel feels more like a fantasy novel for pre-pubertals. They did nail the gameplay though, which we will have to consider the important part here. (but a more awesome story would have been cool as well) :)

edit: "Awaken young cerebrate, and embrace the glory that is your birthright. Know that I am the overmind, and the eternal will of the swarm"
Still gives me goosebumps, THAT kinda stuff is what sc2 is lacking.
