bazilisek: I'm ignoring that "you can't speak for anyone else" part, because that's a fallacy. Also, Han shot first and all that.
I heard this story that Gorgeous George also wanted Han to shoot first, but that would have meant a higher rating for Star Wars, because the rating protocols changed. Therefore he had the choice to either make Greedo shot first or make Star Wars an "M"(or "R"?) rated movie.

I honestly like him, btw. But I guess that is what you call an "abusive relationship".

bazilisek: If you do not see the similarities between the Special Editions of Monkey Island and Star Wars, well, I can't make you.
Sorry, but I don't. One offers you the chance to play the original, the other doesn't.

But back to Monkey Island, where is that "overarching desire to keep the brand/franchise alive"? Do you see new episodes being made by Telltale? I don't. Where is that greed to attract new generations?

It was the difference between PG and PG-13. The PG-13 rating didn't exist when Star Wars was first in theaters, but the difference between a standard PG (parental guidance suggested) and a PG-13 (parental guidance suggested for children under 13) is so insignificant, I have no idea why Lucas would even care.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the music change to iMuse when you press that button? If not, it's no original.

I'm assuming it didn't work out. Not enough money = wasted effort. Let's make another Star Wars videogame, those rake in the big bucks.

Look, there are still no LucasArts games on GOG. In any rational world, that makes no sense. Therefore, LucasArts is not living in a rational world.
I would like gog to include X-wing, Tie Fighter, KOTOR 1, Battlefront 1and 2, Dark Forces 1 and 2

and my personal favourite Star War Republic Commando

'Delta Squad, Lock and Load'

Yes, they use iMuse.

Yes, they do. And there's demand for them, too.
This isn't entirely on topic (aside from Star Wars games in general) but Amazon has a listing for a KOTOR collection boxed set featuring both games for 19.99. I doubt it ends up on GOG, but if it did, that would be a super great day.
