Whatever CVG is supposed to be. (It was posted in the other thread)
CVG UK is a sister company of PC Gamer US/UK, all from the same parent company which I forgot the name.

It's funny that PC gamer already talked about it http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/07/31/rumour-mill-bethesda-taking-over-stalker-2/

I really don't see the problem even if it would be BS. At the very least it would have decent mod support, which is no longer given with other publishers. Bethesda is one of the last AAA publishers with decent mod support.

Eg THQ would probably kill the mod support for many small time DLCs. Not to mention how Activision or EA would handle it.

Yeah, that probably means Steamworks and Steam Workshop integration. Two things I wouldn't die because of them, no biggie personally, would buy the game anyway. It's just a surprise Bethesda being involved with this.

THQ would be my least prefered route. I do hate their DLC schemes.

Steam workshop is a decent way to get the more "casual crowd" involved into mods. Which I personally consider a good thing. And "officially sanctioned mod support" can really take the pain of mod installations. I haven't used the workshop so far, as I stick to the Nexus for Skyrim and Fallout, but if the workshop is only half as good as the NMM we come a long way.

I consider "gaming journalism" along the same lines as "military intelligence". It isn't.

wait wait wait, are you seriosly comparing the two? Do not confuse military intelligence with what you see reported on the TV news program.

the news that #Bethesda purchased the #Stalker rights is false. I hear anything new, you will all be the first to know! as far as I know Sergiy still owns the rights and the requirement for him to sell are VERY high including shares in whatever company buys them as well as who develops the game. This aside from the money it would cose. however, perhaps it could be true but as far as I have been able to find out, its false.
From GSC social media mananger, Joe Mullin.
