Spyro: Year of the Dragon was the first game I ever personally owned for PS1. I thought it had a lot of charm. I've looked all over and can't find one, but thought I would post here in a last ditch effort. Does anyone know how I could play a Spyro game (one of the originals, Spyro Year of the Dragon or Ripto's Rage) on PC?

ePSXe + Spyro ROM.
works great! thanks!

And for anybody wondering, I still have the Spyro Year of the Dragon CD, but my PS1 is broken. I don't feel like its stealing to download the ROM in this case.

Just as a matter of convenience, I think it's actually possible to play directly off the disc using ePSXe. But I doubt anyone here would call it immoral for you to download the ISO if you have the game.

Why download it ? Just uses ImgBurn or any similar program and create an ISO out of your original CD. (That's what I did for my PS2 games)

You can play directly from the disk eh? I think that's the route I'll take then. Thanks!

Well, that's IIRC... it's been a long time since I used a PS1 emulator and it could be a different emulator that had that option. I'm fairly sure it was ePSXe though.
If you have both the game and the disk space, I suggest ripping the game into an ISO, and playing from that. It'll help reduce load times, because your computer won't be constantly starting and stopping your disc drive. (Compare to the actual playstation console, which I believe spins the disc at all times)
