Watch this clip. This is what happens when you bet more than $50 million on a musical powered by Bono. I'd even be willing to bet that they're planning on pulling a caper based off "The Producers" just to make a profit. If not, they would have to sell out every night for five years to make money.
So this whole concert had a Spider-Man theme?

Do you think they did the sixites classic "Spider Man, Spider Man, friendly neighborhood Spider Man, spins a web just in time, catches thieve just like flies. Look out, here comes the Spider Man!"
Did they not see the shitwreck that Spider-man 3 became when they turned Spidey into a dancing fiend? Both times?

No, they're just revealing the first song in a Broadway musical.

Douchebag over the eyes emo style haircut....check. Douchey face....check. Hillbilly style clothes more suited to superboy on the farm......check. Crappy lyrics(compass and a map lolol) check.

God, if it were any worse it might actually become a cult classic.
So yeah. What was that singer saying because I could barely hear his words. I also didn't like the tone as it sounded dull and repetitive.

Don't forget whiney........it was awfully whiney.

Something about a boy falling from the sky. Which would be great if you were going for some Icarus imagery, or maybe some Last Son of Krypton (if the band actually knew what metaphor and allegory actually meant), but Spider-man? The fuck all does this have to do with Spider-man?
The other song from the Spider-Man musical is great.

I want a Broadway musical based on the Simpsons' character Spiderpig.

Maybe that douchy scene in one of the sequels to the also crappy spiderman film conecerning where he loses his powers due to what I guess is his impotence at not getting laid by MJ throughout all the films & also not even managing to get past 2nd or 3rd base.

I hated the films...spiderman isn't as douchey as those "films" portray him as. The superm an film sucked too. The nulk was ok....slightly. Better than the spiderman shlockfest anyways.
Is it as good as the Simpsons musical, "Stop This Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off!"

Nothing beats Troy McLure in "Stop This Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off!". Except maybe Marge in Llwellyn Sinclair's "Oh, Streetcar!"

Or the Robot Chicken musical of Wrath of Khan.
