Well, maybe I pretended to be an engineer but actually padded my résumé?

Sotamarsu: How on earth can you tolerate those temperatures? Forecast says that it will be 12 to 20C this week in Finland. Have to open windows because it is so damn hot inside!
Won't that melt your igloos?
Baldur's Gate 2 was released 10 years ago, this game was released 3 months old. It is not a fair comparison. Someone brought up Witcher 2; W2 was on the market for longer than LOG before it went on sale. I don't deny stuff is always cheaper if you wait. I just think this is just too cheap, too soon. Is there such a thing as 'too cheap'? If someone paid more than you for the same product and got nothing in return, yeah, I'd say that's unfair and thus too cheap. If you preorder a game with a minor discount knowing that it is likely going to go on special later on even cheaper, you should get an exclusive preorder bonus that no one else can get. That would be a great equalizer IMO; if you have money, splurge and buy it now with a bonus. If you don't, wait, and get a discount without the bonus.

DarthCruciare: As happy as I am that this is 50% off, despite what some people say, I still think this is a bit of a middle finger to the people who preordered this game and only got 15% off. I'll buy this, but I feel a bit dirty doing it. Sorry to all those who paid close to full price.

Bloodygoodgames: That makes absolutely NO sense.

A game is always more expensive when it's first released. Even a 10 year old knows that.

If you're willing to wait a few months you can always get a game cheaper, but some people want to play it as soon as it's released so you pay the listed price for it. Grimrock was released almost 4 months ago, so obviously it will eventually be cheaper.

The silly statement you made is just like saying, "Man, I paid $50 for Baldur's Gate when it first came out, but now it's on GOG for $10. What a ripoff".

I was willing to wait so I got the game for $7.50. Some people weren't so they paid full price. Some people wanted to play it when it released and were willing to pre-order, so they got a bit of a deal. Price points for everyone -- no ripoff here.

The possibility is equal in both Tallinn and Southern Finland dear friend.
Finnish summer is cold and has little snow.
Kind of sad that while the sale on GOG came three days earlier, it was 10% cheaper on Steam :(
No indie developer love for GOG, or are the 'cash bags' of the GOG community treated differently?

Yes, I know that compared to the hot weather here in the south, Finnish weather can get a bit chilly.

I don't want to brag, but the weather forecast predicted for us a whopping 30 C for the coming weekend: 15 for Saturday and 15 for Sunday.

I guess it's just that the people at Valve have a compulsion to be THE BEST, THE GREATEST in everything - including discounts.
Or they realized a good number of users only buy things from Steam at huge discounts, so they asked/forced the devs to give a 60% off discount.
