I've seen Space Rangers 2: Reboot in a Media Markt bargain bin for 1090 HUF (~5 USD), and I have some questions about it.

1)Do I need to own Space Rangers 2 to play this, or is it a stand-alone expansion?
2)Does this contain any kind of (nasty) DRM, and if so, what type?

If it needs the original, or has some draconic DRM, I'm skipping it and going for SR1 from here.

SR2: Reboot (aka "Reloaded") is an expansion pack, so the core game is required. No idea what the retail DRM is, but the original SR2 used Starforce, so probably the same.

That being said, you can usually get SR2: Complete (core and expansion) from many DD services for about the same price.

Well, on Impulse the complete edition's ~$40, on GG the base game is €15 and the expansion is €20, and on Steam, the Space Rangers Pack (SR1+SR2: Reboot, but not the base game, which seems odd) is €19.
But thanks for your reply. Now I know I shouldn't buy it as long as I don't have SR2.

Ah, my mistake. I just usually only look at Impulse's pricing during sales, and SR2: Complete goes on sale somewhat frequently :p
