It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

All the "preview panels" have little gears on them, the sort that display when a page is loading, and the "My Account" tab doesn't show. The "My Account" tab shows on every other page though (in the boards, on individual store pages, etc).

Anyone else getting this?

no, working fine for me
Try cleaning out the cookies and site preferences.
Since a few days loading the images takes some time and I see them too, but only for maybe a second. Beside clearing the cache and cookies, do you use any extension like AdBlock, NoScript or any other that can block images?

Edit: Tested and removed gog.com from my NoScript whitelist, the result is like what you described. So, to show the images you must allow gog.com to use scripts (javascript, etc).

The frontpage looks fine now. I'm not sure what the issue was. I didn't change anything. It might have been an issue with Firefox Sync, which sometimes causes problems in very weird ways when the Sync server is down.
The little gears picture is just a placeholder for the other pictures that need to take its place. Something must have interrupted your download of those other pictures.

Ever since I've upgraded Firefox to 7.x, I've been getting sudden "Corrupted Content" and "Connection Interrupted" errors. By "sudden" I mean the errors sometimes show immediately after clicking a link.
I get those gears when I visit the front page while surfing on the 2G side of my wireless broadband.
Why using gears as placeholder on gog? For me they remind me steam too much.
