Telika: I thought that "new" adventure games nowadays consisted in spotting all the listed objects hidden on the screen. Or in swapping tiles to make them disappear when three of the same kind are aligned. Or in mashing the right keys/buttons in rhythm with the prompts.

(yes i am bitter)
Try Resonance!

PMIK: Maybe but now that we are expecting it, it can't be the unexpected release. In fact mentioning any game in this thread will ensure that it's not released.

SimonG: System Shock 2 is more of an Adventure, right?
And now we know who's to blame for no System Shock 2. :]

Austrobogulator: Neverhood, please.
That would be wonderful.

I sincerely hope GOG will get The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, eventually.

telltale games , nice.
With my luck, it is indeed the Legend of Kyrandia trilogy. As it happens, I started playing them through just yesterday (the CD talkie versions).

I played the first one in the 90s but never finished it back then for some reason, and never got around to install the other two. I decided to fire them up as now I can play them once again with proper MT-32 music (thanks, Munt).

It is kind of odd they are not in GOG already. Aren't they property of EA (being Westwood games)? $9.99 for the trilogy would be fine IMHO.
Telltale Games, nice but not interested personally.
edit: Actually there are a few I don't have elsewhere, maybe.

oh, Telltale. meh.

i already picked up all 3 seasons of Sam & Max on Steam for the price of a single season on GOG.

where my classics at?!?
Maybe they're giving away fallout again?
yes i, uh, ok. good.

it's not totally like these games were completely entirely inaccessible until now, and, i am not absolutely certain that buying them from here rather than there makes a huge difference for us but, hm,

they are good game, yes.

Strijkbout: You get +1 from me if your right, cause that means Lucasarts is coming to GOG. =)

Lol not lucasarts but definitely unexpected.

Telltale is not a terribly exciting release but at last we can get them DRM free
Slightly disappointed; personally I was expecting their surprise to be "Deponia" instead as it's an adventure game, it's supposed to be released this week (outside of Germany and France), the German version is already DRM-free on Gamersgate, and the publisher is already on GoG.

It seems to be a common misconception that GOG should sell only games that are not sold anywhere else and are very hard to obtain or get rights to.

I'm happy to see these games here because I know without checking that these versions don't have any DRM. I tried to check from Telltale homepage and Steampowered, and it wasn't apparent where that piece of information was hidden.

skordakias: The Dark Eye" from Daedalic.
Sadly that won't happen anytime soon. The devs have made it clear that in this case they'll stick to DRM in order to please the publisher. :(

And it was hidden with good reason, because as far as I know, they do use DRM (SecuRom online activation or Steam client).
