Ha, that's awesome thanks for sharing! Makes me happy to see some love for AoE II but it also makes me a bit sad because the game isn't on GOG.

Microsoft.. :(

Anyway, it's always fascinating to sift through statistics, especially the gamer demographics.

I'm guessing they mean the "HD" remake version that came out early 2013, in which case I'm not too surprised.
I really don't understand why M$ doesn't want AoE2 on GOG. It already has an unofficial patch, so they won't need to spend time patching like in HD. They just have to literally give permission and upload the thing. Maybe we can contact them for it? Its not like non Steam copies would encourage piracy or anything. Anywhere you search has this game on torrents. Can't they do anything legitimately?

Also worth noting how well The Sims sells. Hard for me to believe (no offense intended for anyone else, but I don't see it as a game). And SC2 without the expansion is selling like an ebola vaccine, 4 years after release. That itself shows how much M$ could profit if they fired Ensemble Studios back up and launched their 90s answer to SC-AoE2.

Also, the console gaming community seems to quite fickle. Almost all the games on there are either way too easy (Pokemon, CoD, Battlefield), just there because they had an additional sales boost from superhero fans (Injustice, Batman), or got a boost because of sports fans buying (NFL, NBA).

Yes, obviously. The non HD version is not sold digitally anywhere. Sad, but its M$.
