langurmonkey: But if you find a country despicable or just way below your standards, don't you want to insult it and the insult the people who support it? It's a normal thing. Pointless though and usually leads to nothing good but it's normal. Sometimes insults even lead to death. But people like sharing their thoughts. I find it unfair to people to expect everyone to not share their thoughts to a point everything inside them is bottled up. I find it unfair to expect everyone to be polite and not insult anyone or anything. It's like having no freedom. People should be free to insult each other and whatever, I think as long as they aren't simply just trolling. How can you have love in your heart, without some hate?
HGiles: Not following our destructive instincts is one of the things that indicates maturity and intelligence. If something truly needs to be said, then say it in a way that will help people see your point of view.
I find that the more I practice being kind the better I am at it.
From what I've seen all my life, bottling things up is the opposite of maturity and intelligence. I also value freedom. And in order to be free, you need to have the freedom to share your thoughts, no matter if people get insulted or whatever. If you can't share your thoughts, you are a prisoner or worse.
PS
I'm not suggesting some kind of chaos with everyone insulting everyone left and right. I just think it is good when people insult despicable acts or despicable things or anything people feel strongly against. It's obvious, you passionately find such behavior to be very uncivilized so no point in arguing with each other anymore. We won't change each other. I also found your previous post very insulting and that proves that a lot of what I've said so far is true.
