It just doesn't make sense to me. Back when there was a huge active thread about GOG wishlist Shadow Warrior's been mentioned many times. So, what's the problem? All rights belong to same people as in case with Duke Nukem 3D, which is available here. Since my disk is lost I was looking forward to GOG release of SW, yet no luck...
I just thought, maybe someone from GOG staff could comment? Without Shadow Warrior your classic shooter library is incomplete...

Apogee went bankrupt and they're probably still under court supervision.

That being said, you could just buy it from their store, it's DRM free and $9.99. The main downside is that you don't get to download it over and over again. http://www.3drealms.com/sw/index.html

You see, not being able to re-download it later is a big problem for me. They offer a CD copy, but something makes me think it's not wise to order such a thing to be shipped from USA to Russia. Will probably arrive in 6 months or so.
But, well, yes, if GOG won't release SW anytime soon I will probably just buy it there. I miss that rocket launcher firing rabbits.

If it's DRm free, you can back it up yourself to whatever medium you like (and as many times as you like).

It's not that GOG won't release it (like they have it and are just sitting on it), they can't release anything the rights holder didn't already give them permission to release. I'm sure that if GOG does have the rights to it, they either would have already released it or will be releasing it soon; they don't exactly have a reputattion for holding things back.

Like that matters.

They're missing Catacomb 3-D, Catacombs Abyss 1, 2, 3, Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, DOOM, DOOM 2, Final DOOM, Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, System Shock, System Shock 2, Soldier of Fortune, Soldier of Fortune II, Heretic, HeXen, HeXen 2, Necrodome, ShadowCaster, Cyclones, No One Lives Forever 1+2, AvP, etc etc :P

Shadow Warrior is just one of the classic games they are missing, it may come, it may not. No one knows but GOG :)
