I apologize if this seems like a stupid question and the answer is obvious but with gift codes being removed and store credit introduced, how do we gift games now?
Did I miss something? I know that there is a bug at the moment where some gift codes went missing (there was also a blue post saying they are fixing it), but nothing indicated that you can't use the normal gifting system anymore. Can someone verify this?

Oh, well on the new site look news post it said this: "That's right, no more gift codes, you'll be getting Store Credit that you can use to purchase anything on GOG.com or partially pay for an item that's more expensive. More choice, ease of use, and less limitations!"

However, I just checked the checkout page and it appears you can still gift games, so I don't really understand the above statement
I bought some gifts yesterday and no problems for me, they aren't redeemed so I don't know if that actually work but I assume it does.

That quote was refering to the gift codes you got for the regional pricing things. It was not refering to gifting in general :-)
I think the "no more gift codes" refers to the compensation for regional pricing only.
