Luisfius: I got Dragon Age 1 on amazon for 2.5. Until DA2 reaches that price point I ain't getting it, since I did not even like DAO all that much.

Would've enjoyed more replaying baldur's gate, haha.
Both are so overrated imo, I'd rather replay a modded TOEE instead (BG at least has the decency to be good, but so fucking overrated it can never hope to stand anywhere near its mythic status).

When I see a fairly new and known PC game being sold on retail for an euro or two, I can't stop thinking:

"Ok, but does it include all the relevant DLC? If not, how much do they cost extra? 60€?"

I've already learned from Steam that if you buy the base game separate from DLCs, many times you'll be spending a fuckaton more money when trying to acquire DLCs later. So much more in fact that later it'll probably make sense to buy a bundle that includes the base game you own already.

I kinda like the GOG model where you never end up buying same games several times due to various overlapping bundles, even if the discount percentages don't sound quite as impressive then. It is just easier to track and figure out.

I've only played about 5 minutes of ToEE. I guess I should remedy that.

Even un-modded it's not horrible, but Circle of 8 mod does make it better.

How can DA 2 be overrated? The game sees more (unwarranted) hate than catholic in Dallas. If anything, it is underrated.

And you only don't like DA:O because it never worked for you! I'm pretty sure that this has soured he game for you forever.

I was talking about DA:O and BG when I said "both":)

My XBox 360 version of DA:O obviously worked fine. I just found the tactics to be stupid and shallow. Yes, the PC problems did piss me off, but that's hardly the only reason I think the game is kind of ass.

You can solo Nightmare mode with a mage... that should clinch it right there.
I myself bought the game for a low price a few months (6 USD, I think) back to see what the fuss was about. I found it alright generally. I did prefer the first one, but DA2 wasn't as bad as people are whining and moaning about, I found it not quite as bad as what people are saying.

The amount of hate for this game is rather amazing, however. Don't really see why people are so upset, but hey, people are weird.

Personally I don't mind having one overpowered class in single player games. Its fun to mow down things easily, for me anyway, I can see why people would be turned off by that though.
