The Humble Voxatron Bundle is finished, and I was wondering if anyone besides me actually ended up really liking Voxatron? I know a lot of people just bought it for Binding of Isaac and Blocks that Matter.
i bought it for the price lol
have not tried it yet... way too many games to play before that :)
I got it when Vox was the only game on there. Yet... I don't know. It's just one of those games that is playable, but doesn't really excel at anything.

It's still alpha, so I can't really judge it fairly.
You're definitely not alone.. I really enjoyed Voxatron :)

The only thing that concerns me is BBS going poof - though I haven't looked to see if the levels are stored locally and can be accessed without a connection to/their servers.

well, it does download them when you play them I believe.
Well it still in alpha but i thought it was okay. Reminds of Robotron for the N64 which was pretty fun. Isaac on the other hand i have spent like 15-20 hours.

I liked it. Only played once but it took 5 hours from my life.
I think it's a neat game with a lot of potential, but right now I get bored with it pretty fast.

I already had Binding of Isaac before the Bundle, and that's a really good game. Haven't tried Blocks That Matter yet.
Nice game with great potential. I'm not really an actiongamer, but really enjoyed it and while it's still in alpha I look forward for more improvements and the coming full adventure mode.
Haven't tried it out yet..
The Binding of Isaac doenst really interest me.. Seems such a weird story.
And I've a lot of games play first which are still untouched :P
The only one of those games I've played more than once is The Binding Of Isaac, which I found rather interesting, if a bit confusing.

I like Voxatron as a concept, but I didn't like the level designs in the campaign. I haven't tried any usermade levels yet.
It's a nice tech demo, I'd love to see what the finished product looks like.
The Robotron/Smash TV concept has been used quite a bit, but with the funky 3D Dot Game Heroes graphics and some cool power-ups and co-op modes I can see it becoming a good game.
I tried it once and kinda liked it but it couldn't hold my interest for long.

In some ways the gameplay is a bit similar to The Binding of Isaac, but the latter did a much better job to get me addicted. Maybe because it's got some kind of "story", cool design (Voxatron's style is unique, too, but its appeal doesn't last that long), a clear goal, lots of things to discover and unlock etc. Dunno, maybe I'd like Voxatron better if it had similar things to offer, it still feels like the bare bones of a game to me, with lots of potential to make it more appealing to the average player.

I already owned "Blocks That Matter" before the bundle, but I love that one, too.
I enjoy it, but it needs improvement, like more than one and/or manual saves. I entered a difficult room with 1 health and I can't load an earlier state so I either start over or die for the gazillionth time.
