Have the most recent AMD Catalyst Drivers (12.8) bluescreen you while installing them? 'Cause that made this morning pretty terrible for me.
You installed them on the day they were released?

No, no no no no. NEVER do that. ATI / AMD still can't code for shit, wait a week until other people verify that they won't melt your GPU. :P

First time I've ever had this happen, what can I say? :V

Edit: And, yeah, I don't know what the fuck is up with AMD. They shouldn't be this terrible at this, seeing as they've been at it so long.

I installed it fine but I've heard this may happen if you don't properly uninstall the drivers before installing the updated version.

Really? The little checking I did indicated it was mostly a problem with the HD6xxx series, which I have.

I don't think I've ever actually uninstalled drivers before.

I've had problems with their drivers for years. They've got monkeys for programmers.

They were improving but these past two or three driver releases have been bleh with little bugs or annoyances. They're not nearly as bad as they were in the past. Their computers broke my Windows more than once. But that was just me.

My dad refuses to use them. I'm only using them because their graphics card was the sexiest for the cheapest price. It's really been ok, though, all things considered.

They reset your monitor like 8 times when installing and Firefox crashes if it tries to use them for hardware acceleration (been like that for 2 versions I hear), dunno who's fault that is. So yeah, that's why I don't often upgrade my video drivers.
See why I got the hell away from ATI/AMD?
