Hey there, fellow GOGers. Now, this is something that I've been wondering. For a while, my download speeds have been pretty fast on my end, about 1 MB a sec (I've got Cable Internet), now, it seems that download speeds have slowed down significantly, at about 220-250 KB a second.

You guys think it may be because of the holiday sale that some download speeds have gotten a little slower? I don't consider it a problem, I'm just curious by this little phenomenon.

It's possible. I went nuts and bought 14 games, and the download with the GoG downloader crawls at 350KB/s where I used to get 1-4MB/s.

Also GoG downloader seems to crash often, so trying to leave it on to download over night is no good.

Looks like it really was the holiday sale that bogged down the download speeds. About an hour after the holiday sale ended, I download a few of the games I bought since then, and the speeds are now back to about 750kb to 1mb a second.
