Thanks to lackoo for posting this in the Gaming Deals Thread. I've watched the trailer twice and I still cannot make up my mind what it is, but whatever it is, it looks like a huge bottle of awesomesauce. I just checked the developers' Facebook too, and it looks like it'll be released on most digital distribution platforms. Awesome!

Hmmm, I may have to consider this.. looks quite entertaining.
That looks extremely confusing. Looks like a cross between Mario Kart and Unreal Tournament, with graphics imported from 1998.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly.
Handling the vehicles looks very clunky and floaty, the tracks look horrible and confusing, everything else looks very simplistic and the gameplay just looks confusing.
I really hope they made the terrible decision to use a pre-alpha build to record the trailer and that they've made a lot of improvements since.
The concept of kart racer always intrigues me, but so far nobody but Nintendo has pulled it off IMO.
Thanks for the interest in my game guys. If you find the trailer confusing, don't hesitate to try the game out yourself, you might even find it more enjoyable than Mario Kart. ;)

Here is a link to the demo:

I've been working on this for a number of years. There is quite a few different things to do in the game itself, including full online play. And if you really like the game, please help y spreading the word. :)

Thanks. I didn't know there's a demo. Gonna check it out now. More indies involved in community interaction is always a good thing, IMO ;)

Tried the demo.

It felt like Mario Kart 64. That's a good thing in my books.

Weapons didn't feel as good as in MK though. There didn't seem to be anything that required skill like the green shell or banana to use properly. Maybe I haven't tried the game long enough.

Power ups didn't feel as special somehow. Maybe it just needs a different sound when you get one.

Finally there seem to be occasional slow downs for. Maybe this will get tuned more before final release.

For me it's a future maybe. Try it. Post what you think - we appear to have a developer listening.
And it is out on GamersGate now for £7.95.

$10 USD on Developer's site. According to Google that's about a pound and a half cheaper.

Thanks for your opinion. The slow down could be a variety of things, but most likely particles I think. Maybe try lowering the effects quality in the graphics settings to "Fast". It could also just be the hard drive loading in stuff, this happens on the first level after starting the game.

Cool on Mario 64 though, that was always my favourite. :|)

I've got weapons similar to the green shells and the such, even triple ones like in Mario Kart 64. But Silas also requires good use of the shooting weapons to win in the hardest difficulty.

btw - the demo can be played online or LAN too.
You can now purchase the game at Direct2Drive and Gamersgate:
