Wild Thing makes me feel ill but I don't listen to it repeatedly.

Kunovski: in the tradition of my other confusing posts, here's the new one:

have you ever experienced a state where you felt physically sick from listening to a single song over and over and over? I mean like nausea and stuff... but you just can't stop listening :)

at the moment this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFhUQGjtEiQ>; does it with me (best listened to with your headphones)

part of the effect are probably the twisted tones and sounds in it, but still, it also happened to me with a perfectly normal pop songs or other kinds of music. I wonder...

EDIT: sorry, don't know how to make that clean link without showing URL...
That's an incredibly beautiful song. I'm a metalhead who doesn't normally listen to that kind of stuff. It's kinda weird how this amazing song makes you feel weird man! I love it & thanks for sharing!

Red_Avatar: Oh yes. Especially from the crappy Belgian "band" called Milk Inc.

To share the torture:

Horribly cheap lyrics, annoying refrain, sounds cheap, IS cheap and yet popular with women here. Go figure.
sure thing, there are tons of songs that are so awful they make you vomit... but the thing is, I actually love this song. I'd listen to it all day long if it didn't give me that sickness :)

as I said, maybe it's because I listen to it too much, maybe because of its immelodiousness (cool word, huh?), I mean, the way Luke tortures the sounds is amazing :D
If I use the right song, I get the opposite effect. For example, when I listen to Motorhead's "Overkill" a couple of times I am ready to assault the day, not merely seize it but beat it to a bloody pulp.

If I listen to Hank Williams Jr.'s "Family Tradition" then I get a nice relaxed feeling at the end of the day and a heavy urge to smoke a "tree". And an old Ford pick-up with a gun rack....

Well a lot of music I don't like gives me a headache if it's so bad it annoys me - not a lot of good music gives me a headache though - except maybe on a bad day.
