DCT: They could but then people will be here complaining endlessly about how we got the core game but no expansion and how GOG promised the complete game(the core game and expansion) and why GOG is once again not releasing the complete game like they did with most of the EA titles here and Alpha centari, ect. So it's a case of sitting on the complete game till it works or releasing the core game and listen to the complaints.

This I completely agree with. Wait until it works.
Unless it's impossible to get running...That would be inconcievable.
1 indie title per week is MORE than enough
We have two release days and generally have two games released on each. The simple answer, for me, is to have one "classic" and one "indie" on each release day. That way every release day gives something to each audience.

The way they do it now tends to be two of either at once, which makes one audience feel like the day was wasted.
Indie "drop" is actually quite fitting ...

... but "dump" would fit even better?

The news: "GOG takes another indie dump" would certainly make the lack of classics more bearable ...

Well, yeah, but after the uproar over the EA expansions (hey, they here yet? Mr. Barnett, help us! ;), GOG would want to tread extremely carefully on that issue.

See, I have almost no problem with this; it's true I'm here for the "oldscures", but I know people like the indies here, too. They would just need to stay consistent so I have a good idea about when to get excited. If Tuesday is Indie Day, then I just (more or less) keep my trap shut about lack of oldies, because I know there will be one on Thursday. ;-) (Oh, I would still consider a game like 2004's Mystery Island an new ?indie?, but that's just me; it has the look of something that would appear in Wal-Mart's bargain gaming area.)

Yeah that was a big ol' mess with some people in EA saying "oh there is no hold up on our end" and GOG saying "yeah we can't release these due to a legal issue" of course given the size of EA it's not too often that half the people don't know the whole issue and now the legal issue seems to have finally been resolved only to have a monetary issue hold them up.

Still I'm not too worried about the issue with Carmageddon since from what was said in the podcast it sounds like only one or two of the test computers were having trouble with the game, now if it was half or more of the computers were throwing up a issue then I would be a bit worried about how much longer if at all we will see the game.

As complicated as you made that sound, it's still not even that simple. We're still working on it, though. Never fear.
