Oh yeah, I got only 11 games on my shelf that are "for keeps" (for now) and 38 games hidden, of which I had finished 10. I plan on playing some of these during the winter when business really slows down.

No, sometimes I just like to watch at my games, but well, my shelf is not that big for now, who knows what will happen when it will grow bigger :)

Use it for the games I got free from gog but wouldn't have deliberately bought myself (teen agent, tyrian, etc). I don't feel they are "my" game, there's no mirror identification effect when I look at my list and they're there.

No, I like to see all those games. The ones I finished (and don't see any future) are at the bottom, together with the free stuff from gog.
Some I finished, but they still on top, for sake of maintaining the series together. Fallout, for example (well, Fallout will stay at the top of my shelf till the heath death of the universe).

I had to use it on Teen Agent, the cover art is so painfully amateur that I couldn't stand looking at it.

I don't even understand that idea. Once I bought something, I want to have it visible, even if it's a bad game.

I just move it to the bottom of my shelf.
