I apologize if someone has already spotted this, but in my internet travels I discovered this:
http://www.zojoi.com/adventures.htm

It speaks for itself really, so I thought: Why doesn't GOG get onto these guys about releasing this game (when they finish it this year) on GOG, they could even look into bundling it with the original DOS Shadowgate from 1987, I assume this would be possible as these guys must have the rights to Shadowgate if they are making a remake to sell.
I've heard of the game but it was some time ago. Great that they're remaking it, looks like they are trying to keep with the adventure title yet put a decent modernization touch.

I wonder how far they are in development though.

Not sure, but 2012 is the 25th anniversary, Shadowgate originally came out in 1987.
Oh yes, those screenshots are beautiful.

I loved Shadowgate. The death screen when your torch ran out always scared me.
I've read about it before, and I'm eagerly anticipating this remake. There is probably a fare bit of nostalgia involved here, but I love Shadowgate, it was one of the defining games for me, the game that showed me that games could be so much more than just simple action, that games could challenge your brain instead of your reflexes, and that it would still be fun this way.
Release date for Shadowgate remake is the August 21.
Hopefully it will arrive here as well :)
Just sent Zojoi an email asking if they have plans to release on GOG. Here's hoping I hear something back soon. This looks pretty great, I'd love to pick it up here.
See here.
I hope those talks work out. I remember the NES Shadowgate with much fondness.
