realkman666: It's not about starting, it's just a fact that PC elitists suck with gamepads and feel superior because they play games using a pointing device and a keyboard made primarily for typing words. If you're not stupid like all these idiots, great.

Enebias: Maybe, but let me say this: I like peace, and I'm sure many others like it as well. If a person less reasonable than me answered your post, it would have probably ended in another flame war, and nobody -except the flamers, of course- want that. Mind your tones (because I find them offensive), be more polite, avoid to annoy other users and the worst thing that can happen to you is being more liked. There are many ways to say the same thing, and surely you could find a nicer one.
I express myself whichever way I see fit, mainly because I'm a free-thinking human being who values precision of expression rather than making you feel safe and comfortable in your little island of fabricated peace.

Sweet dreams.
"Bernard also laughed; after two grammes of soma the joke seemed, for some reason, good. Laughed and then, almost immediately, dropped off to sleep,..."

Of course, my apologies; I think I misinterpreted your precision of expression for rudeness and swearing.
Such an amateurish error! :)
I'll go back to the civilized world... oh, sorry, I did it again! I meant my little island of fabricated peace!

realkman666: A lot of PC gamers have problems with analog controls. Some of us find it a bit sad, really. :S
See what I did there? More efficient and clearer to comprehend, no double meaning. Do the actual free-thinking humans a favour and stop hiding your assholish behaviour behind them, you're making the rest of us look bad.

Also: Analogue controls are objectively worse for FPS games than mouse + keyboard. I actually did an experiment on that with my wife - she's quite used to play games on a pad, she's not that much of a PC gamer actually. Nonetheless, her controller of choice for an FPS was always mouse, not a pad. Of course, then there's the fact that pretty much all FPS games designed for controller have some form of auto-aim enabled etc. - that's not an 'Elitist PC gamer' outlook, I play all games where it does't lower my performance too much on a controller and I love it, but the device for pointing and typing is actually better for that (well... That's not true either - I see increasing amount of people playing FPS games which allow that as movement - Controller, aiming - Mouse. That's a good setup, I'm trying to find a way to implement it efficiently)

It's an old story, but a few years ago a lot of gaming magazines talked about an experiment of cross-platform multiplayer between Xbox360 an PC: here is the link to the blog post that originated it.

That is an interesting idea! With a good implementation, it could really work wonders for mobility in first person games!

There is at least one person who doesn't give a fuck how you want me to express myself. Guess who, brainius.
I'm actually happy to hear about this. Flying Wildhog definitely should reach more people with their games.

Yeah, I've seen those at one point. It makes me kind of sad - I would definitely like to see cross-platform play for as many games as possible.

Oh yeah, you don't care so much that you just have to reply to me about that and justify what you say to Enebias :-P Badass. Yes, now I'm an asshole and also am mocking you. See? No harm in admitting it :-P Look at Crosmando for reference, he managed to be an asshole, not justify it and carry on a discussion at the same time. Impressive.

I thought that Shadowrun (the 2007 multiplayer shooter) and Lost Planet actually did have crossplatform multiplayer? Especially Shadowrun was advertized heavily for this feature. Its main article on Wikipedia doesn't mention it (its gameplay section is actually completely empty) but the talk page and the main Shadowrun article still mention it.

Edit: Also this interview with one of Shadowrun's developers mentions that fact. The guy actually comments on your guy's statement. :P

Once I get a PS4, hopefully this holiday season, I will definitely pick this up. I've never played Shadow Warrior, but given the devs' good reputation, I want to support them and give them a fair chance to impress me.

Yeah, I'm a *huge* Painkiller fan (in my opinion it's one of the best shooters ever made), currently there's four companies that proudly state that their team has experience from working on it and Flying Wildhog is actually the one company that certainly carries on its spirit and which seems to have ended up with all the talent that made Painkiller great. Hard Reset and Shadow Warrior are both great shooters worth playing if you're the slightest bit interested in oldschool shooters that are mainly about style and action.
