What is your operating system and what steps have lead to this error ?

hey man, i got xp but i can change to 95 or 98 me but its something to do with the directory or something i dont know what to change .. help hahaha

First of all - make sure you have the latest Service Pack for XP on your system. Latest drivers for everything are optional but, in the long run, a good thing to have.
Once there's nothing left in Windows Update to download: uninstall the game, redownload the installer, install the game to somewhere other than Program Files, and try to run it. If anything goes wrong at any point - say what and when.
