I like having the option either way. Otherwise it stops being a stealth game and becomes more of a third person shooter with stealth elements.

however I feel that we need a separate thread with one question:

Is this the secret release that was teased in the GoG office break-in video?

I seriously hope not because we all knew BG2 was coming for a loooooooooong time, I honestly expected the Thief games or Deus Ex or Even Splinter Cell

so I would like an official responce: Is BG2 the secret release you guys have been teasing?

of course...given the fact that the video had a coolface in it....we honestly can expect anything at this point
Obviously it wasn´t. I´ll say more. I think that it was no casual that they release BG2 on monday.
I think that we´ll have some news this week.

I never saw it as teasing anything because no real information was given in the clip. Maybe hints but I wouldn't know. I just assumed they have too much spare time and like to film their offices which look better at night. ;)

It was the kingpin's soul from Pulp Fiction....Wallace is relasing a game about himself maybe? Or maybe it's Faust the PC game? That's a soul/sin/etc themed game.

Well if we don't get any confirmation that this was indeed the secret release then I think that means that the release is yet to come

Most likely. The folks that have been whining about it aren't likely to stop just because they got what they want.

I've been rather whiny about the lack of BG2 release and now that it's out I plan to just kick back and be a happy puppy. Maybe I'm in the minority though... :P

Splinter cell was a lot of fun... rather i never payed metalgear so i guess i never missed a "good" stealth game :p
