Inuboy1000: seriously Duke Nukem Forever sucked...

F4LL0UT: I loved it, as did many other people I know. I still say that it was the hype that kept people from liking it. Of course the game was overhyped for the wrong reasons, there were people whose expectations the game couldn't ever meet and the people to whom the game would remain one big joke no matter how good it would have been - just because it was cool to ridicule and hate it. Sadly there's few people who just took the game for what it is and enjoyed the heck out of it.

And no, I don't give Gearbox credit, as far as I'm concerned it's Triptych who actually made the game.
Totally agree. I thought the game was fun as hell.
And that is a very important point you added at the end - Gearbox didn't develop it. They were asked at the last minute to help polish the game. Most people either don't know or have forgotten that.

As for this whole A:CM mess... I don't care anymore. There is a publisher and like three different developers all pointing fingers at each other and trying to dodge the blame. Nobody is ever going to know the whole story.
Consider this whole thing a valuable lesson - don't trust anyone.

so far i know gearbox did get the cash from sega for developing, but contract timegate to develop acm on because they were too busy developing borderlands 2. this implies that pitchford and gearbox is to blame for it.
