{quote} If you have a great collection of DOS or Windows based classic point and click adventure games, then the latest update of ScummVM 1.7.0 will do you nicely. I for one have it installed and use it for all my classic adventure games. But what is ScummVM, I hear you ask? ScummVM is a very special program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games in the compatibility list with extra added nifty features, provided you already have the main files.{/quote}

Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Dreamcast, PocketPC, PalmOS, AmigaOS, BeOS, OS/2, PSP, PS2, SymbianOS and many more..

Quotes in this forum work a bit differently than other forums. You can use the {quote}{/quote} block to get an empty quote like this
This is {quote}
You can also use {quote_#}{/quote} to quote a specific post in the specific thread. So to quote the first post in a thread, use {quote_1}{/quote}, to quote the second use {quote_2}{/quote} and so on.

In all cases, replace curly brackets {} for square ones [] so the tags work properly.

Also, clicking on reply sends a reply notification to the person you reply to, no matter what quotes you may use. And it does quote that person's message, so you can see the code behind it.

You're welcome
Pardon me for sounding lazy, but what is the benefit of using SCUMMVM over DOSbox?
I think linking the original site of Scumm would be better than some article about it ;-)

For someone only interested in playing some old adventures who does not want to bother fiddling with DOSbox, Scumm is very easy to use.
For me the good thing about Scumm is the fact, that they override the old copy protection of the LucasArts games, since I can't find my card wheel for the first Monkey Island game anymore (but I still have the one for the second :D )
Thanks for the info :)
At least some positive news for me these days.
Are ScummVM savegames still uncompatible with the original games? :\
