I've had extended stretches of no internet access before, so I already do backups and plan for it to happen again. Being stuck with that, or say a limited cell phone connection is almost the same as GOG shutting down since you won't be downloading anything either way.

I made a backup system for my home network a few years ago and I tie my games in with it. So yes, that is good enough for me if GOG closes it's doors.
