Dont know if anyone plays their games but I always found them fun. Anyway, I am somewhat depressed when I went to their site a few weeks ago to buy a few holiday bundles and found they had been bought out by Digital Chocolate sometime in November. I have no idea who they are but they seem like some ridiculous social dev team in which I have zero interest in their products. Further, they claim to want to support the old products but then in the small print say they are under no obligation to do so and have no plans to continue their development.
But I digress, more to the point I am just saddened by the loss of what I thought was a great little dev house. I now its more casual based games which sometimes are not the best received here, but Sandlot in particular always caught me with their seemingly genuine love of games. They often hit on that childhood enjoyment I found in games, especially their Tradewind and Westward series. Ahh well, progress marches on.
