Dont know if anyone plays their games but I always found them fun. Anyway, I am somewhat depressed when I went to their site a few weeks ago to buy a few holiday bundles and found they had been bought out by Digital Chocolate sometime in November. I have no idea who they are but they seem like some ridiculous social dev team in which I have zero interest in their products. Further, they claim to want to support the old products but then in the small print say they are under no obligation to do so and have no plans to continue their development.

But I digress, more to the point I am just saddened by the loss of what I thought was a great little dev house. I now its more casual based games which sometimes are not the best received here, but Sandlot in particular always caught me with their seemingly genuine love of games. They often hit on that childhood enjoyment I found in games, especially their Tradewind and Westward series. Ahh well, progress marches on.
Ah crap. I really like Tradewind, but I'm not surprised. Their games were never very popular. What a shame.
How are their games? I've been staring at the Sandlot Collector Pack on Steam all week
Their games always looked sort of interesting to me on Amazon's casual games list, but I never really got around to checking any out. I just purchased Westward 3, so I guess we'll see if one more person (me) ends up remembering them and their work. :)

Decided to cut down and probably only get Westward collection and Tradewind Classics.
Wow, Westward 3 is good. I was sort of afraid it'd be a stressful time management game, but hell no, it's not even close! It's a good mix of several different genres and feels more like a "real" game than a "casual" game. Mechanics are pretty simple, but in a good way. Great great deal for $0.99 I paid at Amazon yesterday.

I just went ahead and bought Tradewinds Classics from Steam as well, while it's on sale.
