Ah, I just thought you were looking for something to encode the video. You are looking for a video editor!

I've done some minor video editing using Blender, but it certainly wasn't built for that purpose. However, I think it does actually include everything you specified..

Runehamster: Well, I see now why people give up quickly on LP's. I have recorded more footage, but I've uninstalled the recording software and will be deleting the videos. The reason is simple: the only software that seems capable of recording good footage offers no sound customization options. The sound quality is horrible, and I don't like releasing a product that's no good. Therefore, since I can't find a way to fix it, I won't be releasing it at all. Thanks for your interest.

PhoenixWright: I still think you should acquire FRAPS. Unless of course that's what you're talking about.
I still think that I don't have $40 for FRAPS ^^
then try my setup and switch out sony vegas for blender or whatever ^^
You can use Audacity to record audio easily (just set its input to Windows Mixer - that should grab both mic and in game sound, might have to set Mixer as your default audio device).

yeah thats an option too, works for a lot of people, its just me wanting to have the option to correct audio, so i am recording commentary seperately, but thats not a must
