nondeplumage: Ah, science...

...you magnificent bastard, I read your book!
I have no idea why but iv been laughing at that comment for 5 mins now. I need a conversation where I can say it!.
I want more sources. This site looks like shit.
Science, how I love thee.
Ah crap. Turns out that pic is a fake (sort of). The article I got it from presented it as an example of what the scientists had actually accomplished, but like a good doobie, I linked my post here to the original source of the story which did not include the pic. Turns out the pic is actually an old photo from a paleontology class where the teacher was showing off a model of what a prehistoric dragonfly actually looked like. Sorry about that guys, no need to panic anymore.
To put another bullet in this already dead panic thread: the dragonflies wouldn't survive outside of their highly oxygenated environment anyway.

Well, you surely can be happy to know that after having one nesting in your lungs and burst its way through your rib cage

I would say that such a thought would bring me comfort. But under the circumstances that would be quite a feat.
So when can I start building that cockroach army?

That is, unless some mad scientist attaches little oxygen conversion units on their backs. Stuff like that is always happening in the movies!!

Wait, where am I again? Aww... Time to take my medication. :(

I wonder what you'd call such a crazy invention? A plant, I suppose. Seems odd to strap a daisy in a jar to their backs, but who am I to doubt the wonders of science?
